This morning’s Valentine’s Day Coffee Morning was a big hit amongst our residents.

The community event, held in the Sensor City Members’ Lounge, consisted of a highly contested Bake-Off Competition, competitive games and a pre-loved book swap.

Tenants, hot deskers and staff gathered to sample the heart-shaped biscuits, flapjacks, brownies and lovely cakes, with the winning Bake-off creation being awarded to Marta Szejbut from Render Nation for her delicious Vegan Carrot Cake.

Mary Jane Monaghan from the University of Liverpool said: “The Coffee Morning has been a really nice networking opportunity.

“We’re all so busy during the day, I’ve enjoyed being able to take a break and chat with our neighbours about non-worked related things.”

As well as enjoying the social aspects of the event, building residents also generously donated over £50 in support of The British Heart Foundation.

The money raised will be helping to fund vital research for lifesaving treatments and prevention for the charity. If you were unable to attend but still wish to donate, please click here.

Liz Beattie, Marketing Manager at Sensor City said: “I’d like to thank everyone who participated in our Valentine’s Day Coffee Morning.

“These community events not only help to build our ecosystem but are also helping to support worthy causes. I’m looking forward to planning the next one already!”
