Growth Platform, in partnership with Liverpool-based accounting specialist BDO, has this week launched a business resilience webinar to help firms in the Liverpool City Region bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The webinar comes after a recent survey from Growth Platform cited that 77% of businesses feel fatigued after a year of tough business-saving decision making, due to the pandemic, with 43% also saying they would like to grow their company in 2021.
However, despite initial enthusiasm for growth among businesses across the region, 35% of survey respondents said they lack proper insight and data to help with forward planning.
Hosted by BDO’s head of entrepreneurial business, Mark Sykes, the business resilience webinar will discuss the five key areas companies should be focusing on to leverage the economy, kick start their recovery and gain back key revenue that was lost during the pandemic.
Attendees will hear about some of the key emerging trends set to impact the future of business, as well expert insights on best practices and how to leverage them for the times ahead.
Mark Sykes, BDO, said: “It’s been a really tough year for SME business leaders across the Liverpool City Region and some uncertainty still remains, even as restrictions continue to ease and begin to come through the pandemic. This webinar with Growth Platform, and the overall work of its Business Resilience Programme, will give some clarity to leaders looking for advice on how to navigate for growth in a post-covid world. It’s an excellent opportunity for any local SME and we’re expecting some great insights to come out of the session.”
The webinar will take place at 9am on 15th July and includes a host of panellists including Growth Platform’s Peter Sandman and Lisa Ashby Dowling, along with Gavin Anderson, plus Draw and Code’s John Keefe and Andy Cooper.
The Growth Platform’s Business Resilience Programme provides small to medium-sized business across the Liverpool City Region with help and support through a series of workshops and insight tools that are needed in order to stabilise and grow.
The programme is designed to give businesses the chance to step back and rethink their strategies, helping them to build resilience and identify opportunities for growth.
