LightNight is Liverpool’s one night arts festival – a time for visitors of all ages to come along and see the city in a new light with everything from large-scale light projections and live music to workshops and spoken word, art, crafts and theatre, street performance, walking tours, dancing and late-opening exhibitions taking place right across the city centre.

LightNight 2021: Play will run on Friday 21 May 2021 ‘whatever the weather’, either in physical venues or shared via online content.

We are intending to host a joint event between Sensor City, Liverpool Science Park and Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool). Activity on the night will hopefully include demos, interactive games and exhibitions.

2021 Festival theme: Play

KQ Liverpool is fuelled by culture and powered by knowledge. It is home to some of the world’s most influential names in technology, science, education, music and the creative and performing arts, and is a playful space to create, re-imagine and find novel solutions.

Whether through rapid prototyping, gameification of technology, virtual reality or creative research and development, customers based at Sensor City and Liverpool Science Park are involved in innovation and experimental play, pushing the boundaries of the art of the possible.
